New Rack for Moonlander! from Old Man Mountain

Out of the Sierra Madre Mountains  – Old Man Mountain (OMM) has a rich history in Mountain Bike touring racks that reflect their company philosophy – “don’t discriminate, innovate”. That’s why OMM built the first mountain touring racks designed to work with suspension mountain bikes and why they’ve brought that mind-set to their racks made for Fat-Bikes. OMM has been making racks specifically to fit the Surly Pugsley for years and with the introduction of the Moonlander, they took their recently redesigned Sherpa rear rack and married it to a new offset bracket and hardware, custom made for the Moonlander’s girth and frame offset.

Installation was a snap. Six bolts was all it took to attach the rack to our Fat-Bike.com Testlander. We’ll see how the rack works, in a variety of load configurations, over the next month (or so) and report back.

    John,

Thank you for taking time to listen to your customers questions. Please concider the popularity of the moonlander and the value to you and us riders to actually build a rack the correct width to give the set up a clean look and give us a little more storage width on top of the rack.

    Good Riding
    Tim
