Since it’s been nearly 3 months since my last video I thought I’d take full advantage of the spring low tide and head for the beach 3 miles from home. With a low spring tide predicted due to the solar eclipse earlier in the week and with the spring like sun making an appearance, I took advantage and headed the short distance to the coast on my, ever faithful, Salsa Mukluk. The late afternoon sun had the sunglasses out for the first time this year (yeah!). As I got to the beach from the cycleways and wooded single track, I altered the tyre pressure to suit the soft sand. I headed to one of the bouys that is usually submerged in 30 feet of water. After looking at the route map on Strava I was certainly in the water line!!
The wet slimy rocks were absolutely no problems for the low pressured Nates. After the rocks it was onto the soft sand and then the crunch of the Conwy mussel bed. With an eye on the time and the setting sun, it was a short journey back through the quay of the medieval town of Conwy with the finale riding past the 13th century castle.
