Wallpaper Wednesday – Great Sand Dunes

One of the places that captivated my imagination, ever since I was a kid, is The Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. My last visit to Great Sand Dunes was over twenty years ago. While I was planning my 2018 Road Trip out west, I saw that the National Park Service allows fat-bikes on the Medano Pass 4×4 road. That turned out to be just an added bonus to the Mule Deer and Ravens that came to visit my campsite and the storm clouds and resulting rainbow when the sun reappeared, painting the dunes and majestic mountain peaks to Kodachrome perfection. The Medano Pass 4×4 road starts out just below the campground and winds it’s way all the way up and over Medano Pass. The sand is indeed very challenging, but the views were well worth the effort. This week’s Wallpaper Wednesday features my Fatback Corvus FLT, Ten Beers, on the Medano Pass Road with the main dune field in the background.
