3 Hour – 3 Person Teams!

A race for all the marbles and Sweet! Engraved Flasks!

The Race?

We’re going to wrap up the season using the same grassroots ‘enduro’ style, 3 person team format that made Peewaukee famous……with a slight twist. We want you to set up teams ahead of time and come to the race ready to register and race. You can use our facebook event page to recruit a team or team members, where needed. This race will not be decided by indian leg wrestling like the enduro. In the case of a tie, the winner will be the first team across the line, with the most laps. Riders will be allowed to come in past the 4:00 pm cut-off and the first team across the line will win. The top 3 teams will receive engraved flasks filled with Samsquatch Whiskey!

The Course

The Alpine Valley course is being built by Butch’s evil-motoX-twin – Jamison! Race HQ will be out of the Maintenance Garages at the (far left) base of the ski hill. Riders will head out along the bottom of the hill and out of bounds into the woods. The trail snakes it’s way up the left shoulder of the hill, gradually climbing up into the snowmobile grave yard and into the trenches. After a steep climb the course spits you out into a quarry that meets up with the Alpine ski run and terrain park. Because of the terrain park features, there’s about 10 feet of man made snow on this run and we have the ability to make snow during cold snaps. Jamison also has access to the sno-cat for grooming and shaping, a downhill biker-cross bermed dreamscape, that will whisk competators down the hill and into the transition area. Most of the slalom downhill part of the course will be visible to teams and spectators from the transition area! The course is dirt-mud-clay leaf-hell-rock-smurf-snow-ice-fun and approximately 2 miles long.

The FUN!

We’re gonna kick this old school. Lakefront Brewing is donating a Keg of some of their delicious craft brewed beer and everything else is going to be classic ‘pot- luck’ picnic style. Bring EZ-Ups, Sausages, Salads, Soft Drinks, Smiles, etc. What a better way to celebrate spring and kick winter’s tail out the door! Let’s make a true Wisconsin Spring Classic………Let’s Ride!

The FEE$

Twenty bucks per rider – and 12 dollar T-shirts. This means we need you to bring out all of your friends, because we want to throw a bash to send winter packing and show our Fat-Bike family some springtime-wet-muddy-snow-bike-love – ala choy!

Can people like me race it solo single speed?

  2. Ryan Nanney March 13, 2012 at 9:18 am #

I can’t wait for it!!! Will be there taking pics again.

If that’s the same whiskey I got in my flask, you REALLY want to win one. It’s super good!

    Dear Ryan and Andy,

You two are now only one person short of a full team. If you want to race solo really bad, just pay for a whole team and bring 2 disguises and change the disguises every lap. And yes, Ryan will be racing……We recommend that you all bring lots of people and race with those people. It’s a people kind of event. People racing with people against other people racing with people. Don’t be shell-fish!

I’m looking to get a team to race with, I don’t do face book, so I’m putting a shout out here. I haven’t raced a fat bike yet, (I have a single speed Mukluk) I have a pretty good history of racing Road, Mountain, Cyclocross, and BMX for the past 30 years, Gomez can vouch for my riding prowess. thanks Angry One.

    Hey Andy,

I don’t have any racing cred, but can pedal my my fat bike pretty good for a middle aged suburban guy. Let me know if I can join Team Angry.

    Thanks,
    Dave mmiidave@yahoo.com

Dave, Welcome to team! You seem to meet criteria #1 and 2: You can pedal a bike, and your middle aged. What about criteria #3: How are your Drinking skills?

A Huge Thanks goes out to Gomez and the staff at Fat-Bike.com, and to the coarse crew for building an awesome fun coarse, taking the crap that mother nature left us for the end of the season, and turning it into an amazing Fat Bike race coarse. If you can’t have snow, muds the next best thing for a fat bike (minus chain suck issues) and Thanks to Dave and Dan my on-line race team, three unknowns meeting in the parking lot before the race and coming out with a great finish. Great Day for everyone involved, thanks Andy
