Weekly Dose of Fat 8-10-12

Good Friday to you all! We’ve had a flurry of activity on the phone banks of fat-bike.com world headquarters from some of the best known names in the fatbike world as well as some surprise guests that we haven’t heard from yet. Sorry, we can’t divulge any real secrets yet but rest assured, the next couple of months are going to be like Christmas in fall for fatbikers! Keep it tuned here and we’ll let the cats out of the bag just as soon as we can.

We had a bunch of new photos entered in the Summer Photo Contest this past week. You’ve got ’till August 31st to get your entry in!

The 2012 Perseid Meteor Shower is happening right now! Get on your fatbike, get away from the city lights (maybe on a beach), go out in the dark and check them out! Peak viewing will be in the dark hours just before dawn. This year’s display is extra-special because of the planets. Jupiter, Venus, and the crescent Moon are gathering together just as the Perseid meteor shower reaches its peak.
