Custom Fat – Black Sheep Bikes

Black Sheep Bikes is located in Fort Collins, Colorado and is well known for their titanium, rolling, works of art. We contacted BSB and asked if we could feature one of their fat-bikes for our readers and Todd sent us these stunning shots of their current ‘shop bike’. The bike is called Two Face and the BSB web-site describes it as a “race, touring, concrete ditch riding, wheelie bike” ….but that barely scratches the surface of this fat-bike’s versatility.

The 2Face won best TIG welded bike at the 2012 North American Hand built bike show.

Two tone media etching completes the 2Face look and Jen Green made some jewelry for the head tube.

The 2face is a travel bike. The back end is removable so you can fit it in a smaller travel case. The Horizontally Adjustable Chain Stays (HACS) allow for SS tension as well as Belt drive.

The clamp at the wish bone stay (Fast Back) completes the travel option.

The two face can run 29″, 26″ phat, and (when it becomes available) 29″plus.

One of my Gnome-Fest cousins (Dan Vold) rides a Black Sheep Fatty and when I asked him for a quote, this is what he had to say.

It’s my favorite bike, and I have had many. Mine was built to be a flexible platform 135mm centered rear wheel built to be able to run many wheel choices from 29er to the new Knard/Rabbit hole wheels when they become available. James, Todd and Paul are great guys to work with and they build functional works of art.

  1. Hi. I saw this bike (or something an awful lot like it) recently at SSWC, and Todd let me take a short spin on it. I want one now.
