FAT-TRIBE Thursday – Idaho, Alaska, Michigan, Quebec & Australia!

It’s our second installment of Fat-Tribe Thursday and you guys continue to amaze us with your contributions! Keep up the clicking and the sending, with the riding and the smiling! This week’s video came in from Scott & Ailene Frey and they had this to say. “We have a friend in West Virginia who has taunted us with his fat-bike tales all year.  We finally found a bicycle store in Meridian, Idaho,  that would let us demo two new bikes.  We did end up buying the orange one (in the video) and another one from another shop in Boise.  There are close to two dozen of this type of bike around here.  Hoping to help spread the fun!.  Our video shows how we became fat bike riders, and owners.

Our Fairbanks correspondent, Josh Spice, shared this shot with us via facebook. “The Fatbike King in his Fat Lair – Jeff Gillmore, supreme builder of all things Fatbike, is the lead mechanic at Fairbanks’ Beaver Sports.”

Todd Anthes is getting a sticker pack for sending this great shot. Todd Hails from Grand Haven Michigan – Home of the singing sand!

Eric Larochelle acted fast and sent in this great nite ride shot from Quebec

David Williams sent this one in from down under and said, “this was taken on Port Willunga Beach South Australia at dawn on a 43 degree C day recently, (for you northerners who are freezing your butts off}, totally loving everything about fat bikes and where we ride them.

Fun Video. I love the illustration a New Fat Biker. Almost everyone can jump into this sport and have a great time right out the gate. Every one I have taken ridding with me has purchased one within 7 days, kinda like the movie “The Ring” -m

What a coincidence, we’ve had some -43C days up in Winnipeg Canada recently! But if I owned a Fatty I’d be out in it! Soon! Very soon!!

In the video, are they riding in Avimor?

It was at Avimor. We had been using snowshoe for a couple days up there. It was slow going. A large herd of elk had just moved into the area and had left tracks everywhere. We saw the herd from the top of Burnt Car ridge.
