Today’s Alaska Double Feature comes to us courtesy of Steve Ryan and rider John Baker. They were riding in Portage Pass between Portage Lake and Whittier, Alaska. Steve says “It looks so alpine but in reality the pass is only about 400′ above sea level. Careful route finding could get a guy a lot higher though. Good crust lasts for two to four weeks down there and spreads to three other valleys. The ride down from there was a blast!”
