Fat Foto Friday ♦ Sandstone Wash

Tom McDonald copy

Tom McDonald takes magnificent photographs.  He had this to say about the photo (above). “This was taken in an area of Anza-Borrego State Park known as Sandstone Wash.  You don’t really need a fat bike to get to this place but it sure beats pushing your skinny tire bike through the sandiest of sections!  I spoke with a park ranger after I took this photo and he mentioned that a 30 foot wall of water had thundered down through here this past summer and completely changed the character of the area.  Interesting place with fossils literally sticking out of the walls in places.”
