Our amigo, Ron Stawicki is one of the nicest dudes that you’ll ever run into at a bike race or a trail workday. Ron is a frenquent volunteer at trail building days and is also an ace mountain bike racer that excels at solo 24 hour races! A few years ago he helped found the Waukesha Bicycle Alliance and began creating new mountain bike singletrack at Minooka County Park, where this shot was taken. (You can still see the pink trail marking flags in the shot). Here’s what our primo had to say about today’s friday photo.
The photo was taken by my girl friend, Whitney Baker, of fat-pal Tony Pirolo (T-Bone) railing his Necro-Pugs through the new Sooper Bole section we just built at Minooka Park. Minooka is on the SE corner of Waukesha (Wisconsin). We’re finishing up the 2nd loop later this month and should have over 4 miles of singletrack, with more on the way next year! Info about the trails can be found on MetroMountainBikers.com or the BikeWaukesha FB page.
Where do you build trail?
Fat-Bikes make a great platform for hauling tools. Show us your rig all decked out with McLaski’s, Chainsaws & Rockbars. Send a shot and a little 411 to gomez@fat-bike.com. If you include your snail mail address in your email, I’ll send you stickers!
I love to carve on my FB! Great shot!
