Sarma Hoboy Carbon Fat-bike Fork

Sarma recently sent us a Carbon Hoboy fat-bike fork to run through the test wringer. We are setting it up on a new build and will have more pix and ride info soon but to keep you in suspense, here are a few glamor shots and specs to help you plan your next build. With 1-1/8″ steerer and 450mm or 465mm axle to crown, the fork is suitable for most fatbikes!

An initial look-see shows us what appears to be a high-quality carbon fork with a matte finish along with a glossy finish on the Sarma/Hoboy logo. The sculpted lines look good and the fork has plenty of clearance for the first tire/rim combo we slapped in which was a Surly Bud on a Rolling Darryl rim.

Looks like a pretty sweet fork even if it is only 1 1/8! Price is definitely attractive along with the weight. Hopefully it tests well. Never a bad thing having options!!!

Rob, not sure why they would go tapered. The major majority of fat bikes are all 1 1/8… so this makes sense as a first fork for them.

Thanks Sven for checking out clearance right away with Bud. I’m guessing 100’s should be no problem either?

No more deflating the front wheel on the poon-lander.

I got mine earlier last week, waiting on some other bits to mount it up. I did hold it up over the front wheel of a new Moonlander at the LBS and it seems to have plenty of clearance. Bud on Clown Shoe seems to be a go.
