SUNringlé Enters the Fat-Bike Rim Market!

Last Sunday, I showed up to the Church of Two Wheels, out on the beach, just south of Port Washington and got a pretty cool surprise. One of the local Port crew, Ryan, showed up with a new set of prototype Sun Rims on his Lemon Krate Pugsley. SUNringlé is part of the Hayes Bicycle Group that is in the MKE area and we know a few of their guys (past and present). Every now and then one of the guys from Hayes rides with us. I’m pretty sure it was no coincidence, that on this particular ride, our mate from Hayes, O’Gallagher, was in attendance. He introduced himself to Ryan and said “I’m the guy who built your wheels”.

Ryan had just received the new wheels from a different friend of his, that also works at Hayes. So I took a couple of photos and made a mental note to contact Hayes to make sure that we had permission to share these ‘Spy Photos’ with our readers. I received the ok to publish the photos, late yesterday, so here they are in all of their….well maybe sandy-ness is more accurate than glory. The new rim is called the MULE FÜT 80SL. I think that we’ll be seeing this rim on quite a few bikes at Interbike, but that’s just a guess. We don’t know very many details at this time, but we’ll do a little more digging and share what we find out, as soon as, more details become available.
