Earlier this month, on a trip to Michigan, I stopped in to see Jim Degracia at Jade Cycles in Holland. Jim is a real entrepreneur and runs two bike brands out of his shop. We featured a story about their rims and hubs, back in March, that you can read here.
Jade’s Fat Rim is 104 mm wide and the Little Fat is 82 mm wide.
Do you like your fatty with the extra standover, that a curved top tube supplies, or do you like the more traditional look of a double diamond frameset? Either way, Jade makes a model of their’ Boss’ Fatty that will satisfy. The white fork (pictured above) on the curvy Boss is Jade’s Aluminum, ‘Wild Bill’ Fork.
Front and center (in the photo above) is Jade’s new 35mm ‘Nixx’ bar & stem, flanked by Jade’s platform pedals and a ‘Lil’Fat’ Rim.

I took both of the Jade Boss Fatties for a spin around the lot. Both of them gave me that familiar ride feel, like when I jump on a moonlander. I would call it a sort of a traditional fat-bike geometry. Many of the items shown here are not even up on Jade’s Web-site yet, but if you’re interested, you can call or email them for further information.
