BELCH Gear – New Threads for LumberJacks

We met our new amigos from BELCH Gear up at the US Fat-Bike Nationals up in Cable Wisconsin last March. They had just launched their Bikes and Beer inspired cycling apparel company. I’m always on the look-out for cool stuff to share with our readers, so we vowed to get back in touch, when Belch launched their new spring line. Belch is located in the cycling rich uber-metropolis of the Twin Cities and they’re eager to make a name for themselves! Last week, Belch’s high commander, Tom Darrow, dropped me an email and shared their new jersey designs.

After we talked, Tom sent us one of their Red Plaid jerseys and we broke it out at the Fat-Bike Radio Studios after last week’s show. The crew thought that the quality was very nice, and at only $70 for a full-zip jersey, we think it’s a got some ‘Bang for the Buck’!

We outfitted, ace mechanic  and bike black ribbon test-pilot, Jim Huber, into Belch’s Red Plaid jersey and then sent him out onto the Milwaukee River trails to get the full Paul Bunyan effect. You just have to love a company that embraces bikes, beers and design. We support new small business ventures, where like minded folks, chase their passions and dreams in the cycling biz. We’ll see how jim’s new jersey holds up after a few times through the laundromat and update you in one of our upcoming, weekly dose of fat shows.
