Foes Racing – Fat Prototype

FatTire-1BI talked with Daniel Burt from Foes Racing about their new Fat-Bike Prototype that they showed at the Kamikaze Games out in Mammoth. He told me that they’re not calling this a fat-bike as much as they envision it as a mountain bike. It’s starting to become a common theme that we’re hearing as we start to talk to some of the new players in the dual suspension fat-bike game. DS Fat bikes are mountain bikes… and they open up new lines and terrain for riders with the skills to back up those choices. It’s going to be very interesting to see what riders do with this new platform. I predict rad-ness and…FUN!

Foes starts out with 6061-T6 Aluminum and Hydroforms, CNC Machines and welds the frame – all in the USA. Below are all the Prototype Spec’s. Dan shared that the bike in the picture weighs 36lbs

I was just bemoaning about what I would buy if I were to purchase a new bike and came up with nothing. There’s too many Chinese plastic bikes out there all made out of ticky tacky and they all look the same. This however….
