The weekend at Sea Otter is very much a consumer happening with full days of racing both Saturday and Sunday. With a crowd estimated at 60,000 plus, this is a HUGE happening. Over 6,500 people camped in and around the event area as well. You can imagine that the 450 plus vendors at the Sea Otter Classic were busy showing off their wares to the assembled masses. Never fear though, your erstwhile reporting crew of Sven and Gomez uncovered a few more gems for your perusal.
Our old friend and industry veteran, Tim Krueger launched Advocate Cycles at Sea Otter. Tim was a product developer for Salsa Cycles for the last several years and he brings all of that experience and skill to a brand new start-up with a very unique business model. Advocate will be the first bike company to return 100% of profits to advocacy.
