RE: Dead Man’s Road to Recovery…

I found out what it’s like to have the descending vessel on the left ventricle first hand last April. They refer to it as a “myocardial infarction”. Luckily our local hospital has a cath lab on site, which is unusual for a rural hospital. My issue was a blood clot that lodged in the vessel supplying blood to the left ventricle. the “widow maker”.
It has been a long recovery, but doing well. The meds are like having a governor on my bike…My bike successfully blew a motor!

Kevin, Glad you are recovering and doing well. Just pay close attention to what your body is telling you….Our lives depend on it! I did it at 50 too.

    hey guys,

Thanks for linking to my blog. I’d like to think it’s a useful lesson in naivety. A sort of coming of age.

We started out thinking we were dreaming up something unique, and quite quickly were overwhelmed by our own hubris. We had it coming.

Still, it’s going to be an awesome trip, even if it turns out there’s a Fatbike traffic jam in the middle of the desert.

    All the best,
