A little over five years ago, Mike Curiak joined Eric Parsons, Dylan Kentch, Doom Fishfinder, and Roman Dial for a tour of SE Alaska. They rode the beach out of Yakutat and traveled along Alaska’s outer coast, via fat-bike and packraft to Glacier Bay. Five years ago, most of us were just trying to figure out how to put a fat-bike together. Exploring new places is my absolute favorite aspect of fat/adventure/mountain (biking). Films like this, inspire the hell out of me!
What’s your favorite aspect of fat-adventure-mountain-biking?
Mike Curiak made this week’s video and builds all sorts and sizes of wheels. You can order a set at – www.lacemine29.com
Eric Parsons makes incredibly innovative, high quality bike bags, pogies and packs. You can check out that and more at – www.revelatedesigns.com
Dylan, Doom, & Roman – I have no idea, but if you know what they’re up to, let us know!

Mike, Roman, and Doom have made all of my favorite fatbike adventure videos – the one featured above still holding the number one position in my book. I started saving videos to the “Fatbike” group on Vimeo about four years ago and readers might enjoy what is found there:

Amazing video, what a kick ass adventure. I have been to Yakutat, it’s one of the most scenic areas in Alaska that I have seen. That is one hardcore adventure ride. Definitely inspiring.
Wow!! Can’t believe I’ve never seen this before. An awesome adventure which is truly inspiring. Thanks.
