This week JK makes his presence known along with Sven and Gomez!

Fat-Bike Radio, and The Weekly Dose of Fat, are made possible through support from Surly Bikes. You can learn more about getting rad at  http://surlybikes.com.

On this week’s show:

  • We will be taking call in guests all show to ask the question
If you could do one major upgrade to your current fat-bike, what would it be?
  • We have muppets
  • We reveal next week’s Call-in question
  • We’ll talk fat-bike and Plus Bike news in the Fatty Farm Field Report
  • And, as always, we’ve got fat and plus sized Links

ACTION ALERT: Yellowstone National Park has again chosen to ignore non-motorized uses in its next round of Winter use management. Please comment by FRIDAY AUG 21st, and let the park know how important Winter non-motorized use is to you.

Specifically, Fat Bike access would allow a greater number of people to enjoy their National park in a safe way – part of the Park’s mission. A small test section of Fat Bike access would allow the Park to study and understand this fast growing user group. However, at this point the Park has simply said FAT BIKES WILL NOT EVEN BE CONSIDERED.

Chris Daisy hips us to dealer news from Felt Dealer Camp and Trek World.

Next week’s call-in question is…What is the annual fat-bike (or any ride) event you MOST look forward to? Call in next week Wednesday from 8-9 CDST to 818-918-2453 and let’s discuss.

Fat-Bike Radio is on the hunt for Fat Bikers who can call in with a report about what’s happening in their region. If you’re familiar with the scene, where you live, and can call-in and be on our ‘Weekly Dose of Fat’ podcast, send us a note to info@fat-bike.com. Use the subject line “Fat-bike Ambassador”
