Wednesday’s were pretty popular at the dance. We saw lots of folks out on the trails on Wednesdays….even though it was Tuesday.
It rained pretty steadily for a couple of hours, so we took shelter under the Surly Tent with our Amigos Lars and the Captain.
KHS continues to refine their fat-bike line with the 500 model starting at $1099. This 3000 model comes nicely specced and ups the game with 12×190 rear hub, tapered head tube, Hayes hydraulic brakes, X9 Type 2 rear derailleur 100mm rims, Snowshoe XLs and more at $2199.
Pivot had their Les Fat at the show and is sporting Maxxis tires like several other fat-bike brands for the 2016 model year. The $4699 carbon Les Fat has a neat drop out system they call the Swinger II that allows a rider to run all fat and plus sizes (26 X 3.8, 26 X 4.8, 27.5+ and 29+) without geometry compromises.
