The Big Fat Ride is coming this February and the entire fat biking community is invited to participate and celebrate fat biking in The Last Frontier! Whether you are a racer, fat biker or commute on your fat bike. Anchorage Alaska is where people fat bike year round for fun and for transportation in Alaska’s largest city with an estimated 10,000 fat bikers in the greater Anchorage area. Fat biking is Alaskan culture and Alaska is a fat bike destination. The Big Fat Ride is part of the festivities in 2016 and the ‘kick off’ for Alaska’s winter endurance race on the Iditarod Trail, the ITI.  The money raised at the event will be donated to two Alaska trail and bike advocacy groups. Bike Anchorage and Single Track Advocates.

The Fat Bike Expo and ITI Experience will offer guided fat bike tours in and around Anchorage, the Mat-Su Valley, Willow and on the Iditarod Trail as well as the Fairbanks area. More details coming soon about guide services and demo bikes available during the expo.
