Bike Black Ribbon Test Pilot, Jeff Price, sent in this video of a ride in the mountains of North Wales on his Salsa Mukluk. Jeff says:
After another fall of snow on the mountains of north Wales, I felt obliged to get out there and ride on some snow. The going was pretty good at the start as I made my way on the shallow soft snow towards the impressive mountain peaks ahead of me. However the good progress was short lived as I hit the soft deep drifted snow which proved too much even for the Nates. As the weather changed to flurries of snow falling on an already soft surface, the plateau I was riding on became a white out at times. This made for some scary descending down to the old quarry buildings in the valley below. I took shelter in a ruined quarry building for a quick brew to heat me up again and it will also make the perfect location for an overnight bivvy trip later this year. The wild ponies were sheltering in the lower valley as I made my way back to the warmth of the car.
Thanks for sharing Jeff! Great video, so cool to see Fat – goodness across the sphere.
Thanks Travis.
We don’t get snow that often so I’ve got to make the most of it when its here 🙂
