Great show as usual!
Thanks for mentioning me in the Podcast.
Personally, I’m disappointed in Niner for not coming out with 29er Plusbikes. “Only 29er’s” is supposed to be their marketing strategy. What a sell out! They couldn’t even slap a suspension fork on their ROS 9 Plus and give us a 29er Plusbike hardtail. Maybe they should change their name to “Less Than Niner”. I get it. Building a 27er Plusbike is low hanging fruit when all you have to do is take your regular 29er and widen out frame a bit and slap on some 27er Plusbike wheels and you can also sell this bike as a regular 29er. However, after riding a 29er hardtail Plusbike for the last six months, I would never buy a regular mountain bike again. I still think 29er Plusbikes are superior to 27er Plusbikes for all the same reasons that regular 29er’s are better than regular 27er’s or 26er’s. Yes, I know that building a full-suspension 29er Plusbike is going to have some engineering challenges. However, if a full-suspension Fatbike can be built, so can a full-suspension 29er Plusbike. I want my next bike to be a 29er full-suspesion Plusbike!
Amen brother Mark!
You guys were talking about the Sun Ringle Mulefut 80 a couple shows ago. I am going to build them up this fall and I wanted to know if you just used their posted ERD from the Sun website. I was burned once for trusting a websites ERD so I am interested in your experience.
