Show #22 is a whiz-bang of a listen. Fat Camp Counselors, Ken and Andy (mostly Ken) shake down the most recent tech schtuff to come across the interwebz but it really gets good when Ken shares the love of the cycling club’s new toy. Plus, (if you) think that a custom bike is not for you? Eh, not no more hombre. Show #22 guarantees dorkiness and geek-a-tude.

The cheap 29+ tire I couldn’t think of the name of:
-
Innova’s site (lots of plus sizes including 27.5×2.8): http://www.innovatires.com/
tire_serch.php?xPA=IA-2569 -
Under the “transformer” name: https://www.universalcycles.
com/shopping/product_details. php?id=76871 -
Under the “Gravity Vidar” name: http://plusbikes.com/1st-look-
gravity-vidar-29-x-3-tire/
Nice to see more +tires coming to market!
The ITT tire from Innova could be a very interesting concept when it comes to a 4.0/4.8.

Loved the episode. Even though we don’t get snow in the Dirty South where I live, I couldn’t stop listening to Ken talk about the Track Sled because he was so juiced about it. Like the reader question you answered, I am also a big dude looking for a fat bike or a plus bike (6’5″, 225lbs). My current plan is to buy a Wednesday this Spring and then put some 29+ wheels on it after saving up for a few months. I would ride it 99% for singletrack and bikepacking and then once a year fly out West for some snow riding with friends.
Do you think it would be silly to buy a fat bike and use it like this? Also, is there any other bikes that you’d recommend I check out? (Beargrease NX1 is sold out everywhere; second choice is Krampus).
Thanks!
