I spied this photo as part of the incredibly huge wave of photos and videos that came in from the Global Fat Bike Celebrations that took place this past weekend. I tracked down the photographer, Masahiro Matsushima, that shot the photo during a GFBD ride in Sapporo Japan. It’s a Kuwahara Tandem that’s been fitted with a fat bike fork and a Xtracycle Leap. Xtracycle states on their website, that the Leap can fit a three-inch tire and mentions that there might be room for a larger fat-bike wheel, with modifications. It has room for two adults and two children on the back deck. I love seeing how people from around the world, modify their bikes to make them their own.
