If you’re looking for an event that has retained it’s ‘old-school’ vibe from the golden age of Wisconsin Fat-Bike Racing, you’ve found your event with the Sweaty Yeti. The lemans start is signaled with a muzzle-loader fired into the air. The local brewery comes out with a keg and this year the new Chalet is open and people bring their crock-pots of homemade goodies. It’s a race that takes me back to the days before carbon fatties. Back when there were 3 tires and two or three bikes to choose from. This year, according to Spinner, The Ice Queen is teaming up with a Viking? There’s also a rumor that the Fatty Lumpkin might make an appearance. Even if you have no idea, what I’m referring to, you should come and find out what fat-bike racing is all about in Wisconsin – FUN!
