According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, we’re looking at another El Niño influenced winter. They produced a map that should give everyone something to complain about.
However, on the map above, southern Nevada and New Mexico have two words that we happen to like very much….Cold & Snowy! I usually ignore long range forecasts and stick to what’s gonna go down (weather-wise) today and tomorrow. Because warm and wet are great for some things but not that great for winter cyclists, we may have to open a temporary outpost somewhere out in the desert in the middle of nowhere. One such place is the CCH or Coffee Cake Hills in New Mexico. I always say “Be ready for anything” and I think that applies double for these types of situations.
