Just Send It! The first of its kind in Wisconsin, Up To Snow Good dual slalom is an intense, heart-pounding and spectator friendly bike race. There will be costumes, music, rowdy crowds, klunkers and epic wipe-outs because this race is on snow!
What is Dual Slalom?
The format is simple: in less than 60 seconds, two riders battle it out next to each other on two nearly identical courses of berms, rollers and tabletop jumps…MADE ENTIRELY OF SNOW! Fastest to the bottom wins.
After completing their first run, riders return to the start where they switch tracks and race the same opponent on the opposite track.
Each rider’s combined time for both tracks are added together and the slowest rider is eliminated.
Heat winners advance through the bracket until the final two riders duke it out in the championship heat.
The course is completely rollable but sendable…if you dare, and suitable for riders of all ages. The course will be built directly on Tyrol Basin’s Gentle Ben ski run.
This race is NOT limited to fat bikes. Fat Bike, MTB, 1970’s road bike, commuter, unicycle, your daughter’s tricycle, BMX, studs, big wheel or tandem if you can ride it, you can race it!* (sorry no ski bikes or charged e-bikes. See official rules at www.uptosnowgood.com).
To encourage questionable choices we are awarding a Klunker Crown for the most ridiculous ride to complete a heat and prizes for the best costume.
Tyrol Beer Fest
If this awesome race wasn’t enough, Tyrol Basin is holding their annual beer fest on the same day. Race, watch, heckle the riders and sample some tasty brews. Ride bikes. Drink beer. Be at Tyrol Basin on February 9, 2019!
