Ask Adam

We received this question from Sebastien Gagnon about how to set up his Rocky Mountain SuziQ for Summer adventure.
I ride a Rocky Mountain Suzy Q50. This bike has 27.5 x 3.8 tires on Mulefut 65. I love this bike and very happy with my winter setup. I have put some 45North Dillinger for the icy condition that we have in Southern Ontario, Canada.
I want to start bike packing this summer. Do you have any suggestion about tires for better rolling resistance? I could keep the original Maxxis Minion and blow them hard. Do you think I could fit a 27.5 x 3 tires? Ultimately I could get new rims setup with 29” tires. What do you suggest to get this baby rolling in the hot summer day? I am planing a few warm-up trips of 100 miles. 50 miles to my location and back the next day. I want to get my set up dial for a ride of 300km this August.
