Took a little trip up to Levis Mound to kick off (meteorological) summer and give these new Surly Sunrise handlebars a try at one of my favorite places to camp and ride. The rain must have scared off a lot of people, because I practically had the place to myself (at night). It was getting busy on Sunday when I packed up and headed home. I managed to get three nice rides in over the weekend and saw some crazy shit out on the trails.
I thought that I’d seen a pretty heavy cottonwood bloom, but out on the secret trail, between Yellow Jacket and Goat Dance it literally looked like it was snowing and that the snow was about an inch deep.
