Wallpaper Wednesday – The Moorland

This week’s Wallpaper Wednesday comes to us from Paul Barrett. It was a great reminder for me that we don’t need snow to enjoy a fat-bike ride in the great outdoors! Here’s what Paul had to say about his gorgeous photo.

Fatbikes are the business for exploring moorland. Big tyres don’t sink in as much as skinnies, and they leave less of an impression on the ground. This is my bike, a Sonder Vir Fortis, on moorland near Hayfield in the Peak District, UK. Photo taken last week in the late afternoon light. In the background is Kinder Scout, a hill with a very important place in British history as it was the scene of a mass trespass in 1932 by about 500 walkers to highlight the fact that walkers were denied access to large parts of our country. This was the first step towards greater access to the countyside.
