This week’s Wallpaper Wednesday was shot just yesterday and I call it Skittles at Kettles. It’s a shot of my Fatback Corvus FLT (named Ten Beers) at the Stinger. I rode a white, tangerine and a grape loop. What flavor is white? Peppermint?
For those of you outside of the US, Skittles are brightly colored little candies that use the slogan ‘Taste the Rainbow’. Fellow Carpathian, Rob Neff, and Julio dot com came up with their own gnomenclature for riding multiple combinations of the color-coded loops at the John Muir trails that are nestled among the terminal moraine geology in what the Wisconsin DNR calls the Kettle Moraine State Forest – Southern Unit. We’ve always just referred to it as Kettle or the Kettles. So mi amigos concocted this bit of colloquial slang for riding all the different flavors at Kettle, calling it “Skittles at Kettles”. #skittlesatkettles
