Forge into the future with the new stabilized Spinelock seat bags. Revelate Designs set out to create the most stable seat bag with the lowest profile mounting hardware on the market. The result is a feature-loaded, waterproof seat bag that checks all the boxes.
The Spinelock integrates user tested and approved features like a one-way air purge valve, rear light slots, and an external plastic bottom with a new patented attachment system. Stability was the driving element in the design process so that end-users could focus on the trail ahead, rather than the gear behind them.
The stability of this seat bag is derived from a low profile, high strength, forged aluminum clamp that works in combination with igus® bushings to form a pin interface. Resembling a spine ramp familiar to skateboarders, an impact-resistant nylon base plate is integrated into the seat bag surface. To connect the bag, you simply line up the base plate to the clamp and through one of two mounting positions insert the pin. Side compression straps fix the pin in place. The resulting benefit of the pin system is the bag quickly releases from your bike.
There are two size options, neither of which sacrifice features for capacity. The larger of the two offers 16-liter capacity– making it the largest seat bag in Revelate’s line up. It’s the perfect size for longer trips, cold-weather adventures, or those who just like to pack extra. The smaller Spinelock maximizes your carry with minimal tire clearance and provides a generous 10 liters of waterproof storage, and like the larger version bag, ample space on the corded deck.
