Foto Gordo – Arbor Day

Bearclaw TŌWMAK at Point Iroquois Lighthouse, Brimley, Michigan

Happy Arbor Day amigos! I’m back at the test bunker after a few days in da’UP and I thought that I’d share a sneak peek at some of the pixels that I collected. This one seemed to jump right off the camera!

I got to ride a couple of really interesting fat bikes on the trip whilst enjoying the intense visual splendor of the third coast. The thing about riding the beach along the shore of Lake Superior is rock hunting! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this is where all of the pretty rocks go to retire. If I had stayed at the spot where this photo was taken any longer, there would have been five more pounds of beach rocks in those bags on the way back to the truck. I limited myself to two beautiful rocks and went on my merry way. I’ll be getting all bloggy about the trip in the near future so check back next time you’ve got good WiFi. Till then, ¡Felices Caminos Amigos!

Sticker it Forward

If you’d like some stickers for you…your ride buddies…or maybe the bike mechanic with the best tattoos at the local bike shop… send us a photo of your local fat-bike playground and an address so the gnomes down in the mailroom can jet them, babies, to the post office. ¡Las bicis Gordas, para ti!

We’ve been there a few times. Got at least 10 pounds of rocks. Several good snowmobile trials around there to ride in the summer.
