Trek’s New Commuter Light

Trek released its all-new Commuter family of lights that bring together the features riders crave on evening rides with thoughtful details that elevate the riding experience for all including other riders. Trek’s Commuter Pro RT and Commuter Comp R lights roll with the same Daytime Running Light technology found in other Trek lights, like Ion and Flare, but take them to the next level by adding in Commuter Kindbeam a cutoff beam design that keeps the light on the path where it’s needed, and out of the eyes of oncoming riders.

I’ve started testing the Trek Commuter Pro RT. The Commuter Pro RT is Trek’s newest and best front light. It’s loaded with Commuter Kindbeam to keep more light on the path ahead while avoiding oncoming riders’ eyes, and partners with Daytime Running Light mode for visibility during the light hours. It features a high beam that’s capable of 1000-lumen output perfect for mountain bikers or those who want more light on dark pathways. Plus, it offers chargeback to power up gadgets via a USB C port, so users can
charge phones or cycling computers directly from their light when on the go. Commuter Pro RT is available individually as well as a light set with Flare RT and comes with an adjustable rugged mount for secure mounting and an included USB-C charging cable.
