Throwback Thursday – This Week in Fat Bike History from 8-17-12

This column is all about fat-bike history! I really dig checking in on stuff that happened during the early days of the fat-biking! Fat-bike.com was there! Reliving the “good ol’ days” while writing these columns sure brings back good memories and reminds me that there are many more to come!

This Week in Fatbike History

The following links and commentary are from the Weekly Dose of Fat published on 8-17-12! Yes, they still

work! 13 years ago and are still available on the web today! Fat-biking history endures!

Here are Fat-bike Stories We Found Interesting This Week in 2012

A couple of these stories were about the narrowing of fat-rims. Reintroduced Snowcats at 45mm (the DC post) and the 47mm wide TrialTech Real SL rims (Yeti Rides post). I looked around for these rims but can’t find any info anymore. Hit me up at [email protected] if you are looking for 47mm fat-bike rims as we still have some of the Schlick Cycles Northpaw rims in both 26″ and 29″!
