  1. Oh yes. Away from the nebulous concept of speed, they work incredibly well over a much wider range of terrain as yer man says. Not covered in the vid is the way a fat bike can tackle the bog – my local hills often end up pretty soggy, even in our ‘summers’ and the big tyres just roll over rather than dig in. Yes they are heavy but overall a couple of extra kilos doesn’t make that much difference….
