2nd Annual Snow Bomb Fat Bike Race

Join us at Holzinger Lodge in Winona, MN for our 2nd annual Snow Bomb Fat Bike Race on Feb. 22nd, 2015.

The Snow Bomb is a criterium-style fat bike race hosted by Winona Area Mountain Bikers (WAMB).  This event is for all ages, abilities, and bikes, but fat bikes are encouraged, as the race takes place on the groomed Holzinger Trail System.

The race will consist of 3-hour (Endurance) or 1-hour (Sprint) Criterium-style race on the Holzinger trails.

The segment will be available on Strava: https://www.strava.com/activities/228078523.  The 3.75 mile course consists of rolling terrain with a mix of groomed double-track and single-track.  Approximately 200 fee of rolling ascent per lap - which also means 200 feet of ripping fast descending, so tune up those brakes!

There will be men's and a women's categories, with some great prizes for the top racers.  There will also be a kids' category (distance to be determined) for the younger riders.

Register on Active.com ($25), or on race day ($30) beginning at 10AM; registration ends 30 minutes prior to the race start.

WAMB t-shirts will be available for purchase during your online registration. There will also be a limited quantity for sale at the race.

10:00-11:30 AM – On-site registration
Noon - LeMans-style start - The Endurance race will start first, with the Sprint beginning shortly after.

 Chili and beer will be available.  Bring some cash to throw in the donation bucket!

Event details and schedule

On-site egistration will open at 10 AM the morning of the race and run until 11:30 AM.

Race starts at noon.

Awards will be held at 4PM following the completion of the race.

Parking may be limited.  If you are local, consider leaving your car at hone and bike to Holzinger.

Fat Bike Race for all ages and abilities: 3-hour criterium, 1-hour criterium, and a 1/2 mile races for the kids!
