This year a new and unique event, Spear the Fatty Bike Race, will be a big challenge for those feisty fat tire cyclists. It is a once-a-year chance to ride your fat tire bike on the groomed trails on Lake Winnebago. It will be held on Saturday, February 14 with two distances to choose from: 15 or 30 miles.
Spear the Fatty will be part of the regional Sturgeon Spearing Festival, February 12- 15.The Sturgeon Stampede has been entertaining winter lake enthusiasts of over two decades by clearing off a huge radius of snow to make a winter playland. It offers skating, broomball, ice bowling, ice sailing, sturg-o-rama and kite flying.
Everyone will receive a rooster cap, food and medal. ALSO all participants will be entered in a drawing for a new Badger Fat Tire bike. If you do not have a fat tire bike, there will be bikes at the site you can use but are on a limited basis. Email [email protected] to reserve one.
