Second round for our extreme winter endurance event in Geilo: www.fat-viking.com FAT VIKING is a long distance fatbike race where being self-sufficient, making the right choices and keeping warm is as important as covering the distance. The distance is approximately 150km. We run a 60km and a 0km race the same day: 27th of January 2018.
Fat Viking is an official qualifying race for the Iditarod Trail Invitational.
Those who manage to cover the full distance in less than 36h are qualified for the Iditarod Trail Invitational 130 miles in Alaska (you need two or more qualifiers for the longer distances).

In this rare NIGHT race, participants will cruise across the ice on iconic Lake Mendota and pass by downtown Madison and the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, starting and ending at The Edgewater. Choose from a single lap, 4.25 mile course or a three lap, 12.75 mile course.
Registration for this event includes: chip timing, a powerful Rayovac L.E.D. headlamp with strap, a beer at the finish courtesy of Michelob ULTRA, and medals for top finishers. Proceeds supports work to protect and improve water quality in local lakes.

Both distances begin and end at our course headquarters – The Hahn’s Peak Roadhouse. This is arguably one of the most scenic Fatbike races around. Both the 50 and 125 mile distance will take you above 10,000 feet in places with views to the Continental Divide and some of the least seldomly scene craggy peaks of Colorado – The Zirkels. The 125 mile course will also blast you up to Wyoming where some of that states finest individuals will greet you with the hospitality only Wyoming can provide

The Sweaty Yeti Fat Bike Race will take beginner and junior Yeti's 10 kilometers across Wolf Creek Resort while amateur and high school yeti's will ride 20 kilometers and pro and open class riders will go 30 kilometers. The atmosphere will also include a festival feel with free fat bike demos, kids zone, sledding hill, live music, sports expo, beer and food trucks. Snowshoe and fat bike demos will be available for everyone to participate in the fun! Leashed pets are welcome to join.
The Lake City Chamber of Commerce presents the Fired Up! Fat Bike Tour on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Registration opens at 9 a.m.; ride begins at 10 a.m. at the Jewel Golf Course located at 1900 Clubhouse Drive in beautiful Lake City, MN.

This is a timed, XC style fat bike race held on amazing XC ski trails at our local Nordic center with a staff of groomers making sure we have an amazing, groomed surface of that all important white stuff to ride on. The first time I rode a rental fat bike down double trouble (a kick ass groomed trail there), I was sold on why fat bikes are here to stay. I bought one the next day. I want to share that feeling with you.
Any proceeds and funds raised over the weekend will go to funding the construction of a new, 2.4 mile beginner trail in the Thomas City Park. This project is a partnership between New Historic Thomas and the City of Thomas.
