Fat-Bikes at the Singlespeed European Championship

Our amigo Yann from Salamandre Cycles sent us a short report on the scene at the SSEC from France

Jean-Marc

This weekend was the SSEC (Singlespeed European Championship) in France. It also was our first event for Salamandre. The bike you’ve already seen (in photos) is now orange and Big Fat Larry / Clown Shoe equipped. It looks and rides great. The first prototype of our next generation Salamandre fat-bike also got raced by my friend Jean-Marc. The bike was unpainted (with a little bit of rust after a rainy weekend) and was still being welded the day before the event. We quickly assembled it with the parts I had in stock (not especially light…). Of course, Jean Marc used it for the first time a few hours before the race. Nevertheless, he finished 6th overall and first fatbike (but there were only a Pug, a Mukluk and a Jones front fat also at the race).
