The first Fat Bike/Snow Bike Race in downtown Crested Butte, utilizing the finest of Nordic Trail Systems on the PLANET – those of the Crested Butte Nordic Center. Details on the poster above – feel free to print and distribute or hang at your leisure.
Solo race, Team/Relay race, Demo’s available, libations by Oskar Blues, good times and headquarters at the Brick Oven, tunes by KBUT, REEB cycles, and a sick 2.8 mile lap starting in front of the Brick Oven, heading up Old Kebler, and rolling counterclockwise around the Red Lady Loop. Teams can all ride on one bike, demo’s can be had and should be reserved in advance at cbfatbikes@yahoo.com. Email questions to cbfatbikes@yahoo.com.
Many thanks to the CB Nordic Center for making this happen, the Town of Crested Butte, and the Irie local Fat Bike scene in Crested Butte. Should be one to remember, come on out for the Fat BIke race on Friday, and the Alley Loop on Saturday. Bring the fam, bust out the cowbell, get your Race Day heckling face on – it’s gonna be a good one!
PS – the CB Nordic Center is allowing this for one day only – the trails are not open to Fat Bikes. Please respect the rules – pre-riding not an option, and Fat Biking is limited to the Public Roads and Access around Crested Butte.
