For 2015, Irish has added the “Sullivan” to our line up in order to answer the question of “how do I ride in the snow and sand so prevalent here in the Carolinas.” Equally at home on the beach or in the dead of winter, the Sullivan is offered as a frame or a complete build. Designed for the modern larger 4.5” and 4.8” tires from Vee and others, the frame has a relaxed yet comfortable geometry optimized for both rigid and suspension forks, it allows for responsive handling to achieve the perfect balance, flotation and tracking necessary to enjoy the most thrilling of off road adventures.
Built from 100% certified Toray high modulus carbon fibers (M30J, T700), the frame keeps the weight low while giving you the performance you expect from an Irish. The rear end of the frame uses high profiled seat stays with varying layups per each side to give you the compliance necessary for a comfortable ride while providing a solid platform for the drive train and rear wheel to operate on. The rear triangle width is 197mm. Tied to the high BSA 120mm wide bottom bracket, you’re guaranteed to be able to clear obstacles and run up 4.8” tires with confidence giving you plenty of room for sand, mud or muck! To round out the Sullivan we also offer paired Carolina Fat-Bike wheels to accommodate the frame’s industry standard rear hub spacing which allows for a dishless wheel and perfectly matches the 120mm wide shell to give you total drive train alignment – a challenge seen in the 100mm bottom bracket frames out there.
Our fork and head tube is perfectly matched to give you the best ride possible. The tapered head tube is 100% cabon and tapers down from a smooth industry standard 1-1/8” to a 1-1/2” strengthening the torsional rigidity of the front end resulting in the the firm control necessary to allow you to play with the full range of tire pressures available. As with all Irish frames, we mated this to the direct drive series fork that gives you space to run up to a 4.8” tire on the emerging industry standard of 100mm rims. We also offer as a custom build the same frame with the RockShox Bluto fork.
To ensure you get the most utility from your Sullivan, it features rack eyelets on both the fork and rear triangle to allow you to load it up as much as necessary to help you explore the world. The frame and complete bicycles come in Matte black. Our frames are offered in 16”,18” and 20” frames with a 18” weighing in at 1295 grams for the frame, and 495 grams for the fork. All frames are shipped with a Cane Creek headset and feature a custom CNC seat collar for a 31.6mm seat post.
Our Custom Carbon fiber fat-bike wheels are available with each frame or part of a complete bike with a front 15mm and 12mm thru axle respective of front and rear. Weights are 1070 grams for the front and 1230 grams for the rear with a maximum tire width of 4.8”. Our complete builds feature a Sram XX1 drive train, Race Face Turbine crank (36T front ring in custom green), Sram Guide Hydraulic brakes, levels and discs, Carolina Fat-bike wheels, Vee tires, Ritchey WCS cockpit and seat post, Prologo Zero II saddle, Lizard Skins DSP 2.5 mm grips and optional Crank Brothers Mallet Pedals.
The Sullivan comes as a frame/fork combination, complete build or custom package. Offered in matte black or custom colors (for an additional fee).

This is the sexiest carbon frame I’ve seen. No dumb swirvey tubes, straight-forward and clean. Not a fan of lower-stay mounted rear brake calliper mounts (from a mechanic point of view), but whatever.

Looks suspiciously like the carbon frames available on Aliexpress. Kind of dissapointing to see that all it takes to “introduce” a new bike into the market is some die cut stickers, a bit of branding and away you go. What makes this overseas made bike any different to the others (Lamere etc.)? Sigh…..All that aside, I guess I should be happy if it gets more people on bikes and fat bikes more exposure.
