Sweaty Yeti Alt – Feb 26th,27th,28th – A virtual race (WI)

I think like many of us, my inner twelve year old is bursting at the seams to get out and ride at a huge fat-bike party with beer and FUN! The Sweaty Yeti at Levis has always been an event that brings me back to the early days of fat-bike racing. With the Covid 19 pandemic, this year’s event is going to be a little different and that’s the ‘Alt’ part that we hope will help keep everyone safe. The focus of this little operation is FUN!

Virtual – Yeti – Off-Site Option

Do you live outside of Wisconsin or otherwise not find yourself anywhere near Levis at the end of February? Never fear, as long as you find some snow you can participate anywhere. This is a non-competitive option but you will be able to log your results. If you’ve got a nice set of trails where you live and you’d like to participate… make a voluntary donation to your trail system and ride the number of laps that you feel will give you the best chance of standing atop the podium with your hands raised in victory. #virtualvictory

We all win when trail centers have the funds to build, maintain and groom places like Levis. Fat-Bike.com made a nice donation to the trails and sponsored the event because places like Levis are so very near and dear to our hedonist’s hearts. If you feel the same way and you’d like to make a donation, please visit the event page and become a trail sponsor. Funds will go to purchasing a new groomer to expand fat-bike grooming at Levis.
