The Humble 44 –

One lap 44 mile race.
The Humble 44 Saturday June 14th 2014. Langlade Wisconsin.
One lap race. 44 miles of remote single track and humbling two track.
(About half is single track).
Unsanctioned, unsupported, no sponsoring group, no maps provided, the route will not be marked, cellular service is unlikely. Light/spotty rain or shine. Participants will be on-their-own.
$25 entry fee day of the event. Cash only, no advance registration. All proceeds will be used for local mountain bike trail construction. All entrants get a raffle ticket to win a Felt Cruiser bicycle and a bear whistle.
A .gpx file of the route will be available for GPS download starting June 10th from www.ridewithgps.com
A GPS will be the only reliable way to follow this course, (or hang on a wheel).
If a participant wishes to print and carry maps that is fine.
The Start and Finish will be at the Bear Paw Outdoor Adventure resort.
Mass start 10:00 AM. Be there by 9:00 AM to get organized.
Evening award ceremony. To claim the crown, a GPS record will need to be presented.
Categories: Male/Female & Over/Under 40 years of age.
***Participants are welcome to create their own categories and awards, provided they provide their own trophies, (eg Fat).
