Beaver Guard Fatbike Mudguards are simple shapable, flexible mudguards that come in versions for Blutos as well as a Rigid forks. They are enduro-style and offer protection behind the fork and, as owner Christian LaLonde says:
They help to stop mud, muck, water and snow from hitting your suspension’s stanchions & helps to give a longer life to your seals. Also protects your headset, shifters, brake levers and your face.
Plus, they are made in Canada!
We don’t currently have a Bluto in the house so I installed the suspension version on my Snowzocchi and can attest to the Beaver Guard’s ability to keep the slop out of my face! It has been above freezing here in Milwaukee recently and the Beaver Guard sure has been helping. I am adding a downtube guard as well. The Beaver Guard does a great job of keeping slop out of my face but I still get spray about mid-chest down so I am going with the SKS X-Board Downtube Fender that I’ve liked on the past for fat-bike use.
Jim put the rigid fork version on our RSD Mayor and it fit very nicely. In addition to the Beaver Guard, Jim has a Vessel Workshop downtube splash guard that provides coverage almost to the BB and augments the Beaver Guards protection really well.
MSRP is 15$ for both the Bluto and for the Rigid Beaver Guard version which also doubles as a rear guard as well.
