In the early morning hours of last year’s Single Speed USA, the final round of the decider tournament took place in a dark bowling alley in Port Jervis, NY. Three states battled it out in a game of bumper bowling to decide where SSUSA2019 would be hosted and Texas prevailed.
2011 Women’s Single Speed Champion Kerry Kraybill resides in Austin, TX and has been eager to host the event for years. Chewy and I headed down to Austin to scout out trail systems, bars, party venues, event sites and to meet the locals who will be helping with the event.
