Return to the Slate

3 weeks after filming my SLATE video I made a return to the area as a friend of mine, Allen, really wanted to see the slate sights. So we quickly picked our date and was joined by John Climber. The 3 of us set off on a very humid Sunday afternoon which had plenty of hike a bike. Despite the grueling pushing I’m sure fun was had as we had some fine views.

Fine views

We got to our bivvy spot just as the sun was setting which was in the ruins of the slate workings. As there was some wet weather due in overnight from the east we set up shelter against the walls so we had extra protection.

Day 2 was on the extremely wet side of things! However as this was Allen’s first fatbike ride, the weather did not put him off.

Wet, wet fun!

    • Thanks Richard, any ride on a fatbike is an epic, it’s the only way to roll 😉
