With parts of the US experiencing some cold times of late, the UK saw some near record temperatures at the end of March. So with ‘warm’ weather coupled with the start of 2 weeks off work, this was the perfect time to get one of my bivvies in again despite being out just last week for one!
This time I had my sights on the summit of a hill in the Snowdonia mountain range names Y Rowen which stands at 600 metres above sea level. I have ridden to the top once before and I remember thinking its not one to ride a loaded fat bike up. Fast forward 7 months and with lockdown restrictions coming to an end, my thought of not summitting fell short.

Yes the going was tough but i knew the reward would greet me in the prize of fine views. Once at the summit it was a case of brewing up and enjoying the views.

Fingers crossed we can all get back to what we love to do, for me it’s fatbiking and bikepacking!

Lovely video and great article. I also liked the acoustic version of Hurt! Always nice to see some fellow UK full fat enthusiasts! Thabks
Thanks Jay, hopefully I’ll see you out on the trail some day….
The terrain is very similar to Maine, were I ride. Love it.
Great fatbike country then. Cheers.
