September 10th thru 12th – 2021

In the tradition of the bike festival formerly know as Gnomefest comes the Levis Mound Fat-Tire Festival set for September 10th thru the 12th at the fabled Levis Trow Mountain Bike Trails! This is an event for all of the folks out there that love mountain biking that maybe don’t get their kicks from racing. Mountain bike festivals harken back to the early days of mountain biking in Colorado and Northern California…add in a dash of Burning Man on Bikes and that’s what’ll go down the weekend after Labor Day. Instead of a race, we’re going to have bike games and rides with one simple focus – FUN!

We’ve put together a group of folks that know how to have a good time and we’re working out the details of what kind of bike shenanigans we can get into for the weekend. There’s one thing that is a given…there will be Derby!!! There may be unsanctioned dwarfcycle figure-eight death races. We usually start the weekend off with a kegger around a bonfire and go from there!

Levis offers something for a wide array of rider skills and the trails are some of my absolute favorites. The fest holds a Women’s Group Ride and there’ll be some sort of poker ride for everyone to play. You don’t have to be a fast racer to win the kind of bike-games that we’re cooking up for the event and you can ride any kind of bike that you like too! The top prizes will probably go to “Best Costume” but all of that will get figured out before everyone shows up for a weekend of bike fun.

We’re setting up registration for the festival and working out what kind of perks that we’ll be offering folks that pre-regisiter. The steering committee has some great ideas so stand by for what might appear in your VIP Goodie-Bags! All of the proceeds from the Levis Mound Fat Tire Festival will be donated back to the trail system and help with trail maintenance and winter fat-bike grooming.
